Our history

Kansas City based RETROCHEM Inc originated in 2005 as an installation contractor and distributor of urethane coatings and slip-resistant products designed for the hospitality industry. Over time, we became engaged with facility managers of commercial properties and expanded our service offerings to include restoration of tile and stone. In 2011, we began serving general contractors and utilized our proprietary systems to support restoration of floors in both contemporary and historic projects.

Our business and reputation grew rapidly as we worked with contractors and facility managers to fill service voids with unique solutions for restoration and preservation of other hard surfaces. In 2018, we acquired Plasterkraft as a perfect complement to our historical service offerings and in 2022, we organized our acquired companies and specialty services into four symbiotic divisions that helped us to refine our focus based on specific client needs. The result is a consortium of specialized brands offering an extensive range of repair, refinishing, and maintenance solutions for the construction, remodeling, and facility management industries.
